Maciej Karpiak was the first Pole to show his projects at Salone Satellite in Milan, in 2003. In 2004, he earned a diploma from WSSU, the Higher School of Applied Arts in Szczecin, where he attended the Faculty of Interior Design. In the same year, he opened his own multidisciplinary workshop Office for Design working as a designer and contractor in one. Up to 2009, he cooperated with numerous producers of furniture and lighting systems both from Poland and from abroad. He is the author of a number of products which received distinctions and awards. He has a long list of dozens of copyright protected industrial designs. Since 2009, his focus has been on creating his own brand of modern and minimalistic Nuuun kitchens. As a co-owner of the Miyo studio in Amsterdam, Maciej Karpiak is involved in interior arrangement, design and supervision. Since 2002, he has created over 300 projects related to interior design, furniture design, fair stalls, and architectural concepts of one-family houses.
